Return & Exchange Policy

MSL SECURITY PRODUCTS

Goods Return, Exchange & Warranty Policy

At MSL Security Products, customer satisfaction and transparency are our top priorities. All purchases are subject to our standard terms and conditions of sale, available on request.

🔁 Returns & Exchanges

  1. Original Invoice Required:
    No return, exchange, credit, will be processed without presenting the original invoice.

  2. Return Notification:
    All return requests must be submitted in writing within 10 days of receipt to:

  3. Return Condition:

    • Products must be returned in original condition and packaging.

    • Goods must be unused, undamaged, and in resalable condition.

    • A handling fee of up to 10% may be charged for repackaged items, at MSL’s discretion.

  4. Time Limits:

    • Returns will not be accepted after 3 months from the date of purchase.

    • For online purchases, goods must be returned within 10 days of receipt.

  5. Return Shipping:

    • The customer is responsible for return shipping and insurance.

    • MSL is not liable for any items lost in transit.

  6. Non-Returnable Items:

    • Products that have been disassembled, installed, permanently modified, or used contrary to manufacturer instructions may not be accepted for return.

⚠️ Damaged or Defective Goods

1. Goods Damaged in Transit or on Delivery

Report within 10 days of delivery via:

  • We will inspect and respond within 7 days.

  • Depending on evaluation, items may be repaired or replaced.

2. Defective Products

  • A defect is defined as any failure to meet manufacturer specifications or functions.

  • Report within 10 days of receipt.

  • After evaluation, we may repair, replace, the product.

  • Feedback will be provided within 7 working days.

🚫 Unwanted or Incorrect Goods

  • Return within 10 days for an exchange, credit.

  • Items must be:

    • In original, undamaged packaging

    • In new and resaleable condition

    • Free of visible wear and tear

If using MSL’s pre-arranged courier service, a courier handling fee will apply.

🛠 Repairs & Warranty

  1. General Warranty & Repairs

    • All warranties are carry-in only.

    • Electronic items are tested before exchange, credit.

    • MSL is not liable for losses from:

      • Improper installation

      • Tampering or misuse

      • Lightning, power surges, pests, water, or natural disasters

  2. Repair Warranty

    • Repairs carry a 3-month warranty on the specific fault repaired.

    • Additional issues will be treated as new repairs.

    • Items will only be released once all outstanding payments are settled.

  3. No Fault Found

    • A handling fee of up to 16% of the invoice may be charged if no fault is found or additional reports are requested.

  4. Uncollected Repairs

    • Repaired items not collected within 120 days may be sold to recover costs.

  5. External Repairs

    • For outsourced repairs, MSL offers a carry-in warranty equivalent to that of the supplier.

📦 Stock Shortages

If a product is out of stock, MSL may source a similar product at the same price, with the customer’s consent. MSL is not liable for stock unavailability due to factors beyond our control.

📄 Legal Notes

  • All returns and warranties are subject to our Terms & Conditions.

  • MSL reserves the right to refuse a return or warranty claim if:

    • The product shows evidence of misuse or modification

    • The issue is outside manufacturer specifications

  • For fraud prevention, credit accounts are only linked after verification by MSL.

  • You are responsible for all activity on your account.

  • Keep your login details secure and report any suspicious access immediately.

  • MSL is not liable for unauthorized orders placed with correct login credentials.

  • This Agreement is governed by the laws of South Africa.

  • No variations are valid unless in writing and signed by both parties (excluding email).

  • MSL may discontinue or restrict access to the Website at its discretion.

  • Invalid provisions will not affect the rest of the Agreement.

  • Legal costs incurred by MSL due to your breach will be recoverable on an attorney-client scale.
