The Ajax DualCurtain Outdoor White is a wireless bidirectional curtain-type motion detector designed for outdoor and indoor perimeter security, protecting areas like windows, doors, archways, fences, and gates.
 
It features two independent optical systems, each with two PIR sensors, offering a narrow horizontal detection angle of 4.5° and an adjustable detection range of 4 to 15 meters per side (up to 30 meters total).
 
The ELSA (Extended Live Signal Analysis) algorithm ensures accurate detection by analyzing signals from both sensors on one side, filtering out false alarms from natural interferences like wind, bushes, or pets up to 80 cm tall when properly configured.
 
The Near Area Detection mode, a patented Ajax technology, adds a 40° downward sector to the upper PIR sensor, minimizing blind spots near the detector. The detector connects to Ajax hubs (Hub Plus, Hub 2, Hub 2 Plus, Superior Hub Hybrid, or ReX range extenders) via the secure Jeweller radio protocol, with a communication range of up to 1,700 meters in open spaces.
 
It uses AES encryption and frequency hopping to prevent interference or sabotage. The device is equipped with anti-masking sensors to detect obstacles, lens painting, or taping, and a tamper button to alert against removal or destruction, notifying users and monitoring stations within a minute.
 
Powered by two pre-installed CR123A batteries, it offers up to 4 years of battery life. The IP54-rated enclosure ensures durability in harsh weather (-25°C to +60°C, up to 95% humidity).
 
Installation is simplified with a SmartBracket mount and QR code-based configuration via the Ajax app, allowing real-time adjustments to sensitivity, detection range, or deactivation of one optical system.
